Learn appropriate stringing materials and how to properly attach clasps, as well as different necklace lengths and clasps. Beginner's Kumihimo: The Art of Japanese braiding

Beginner's Kumihimo: The Art of Japanese braiding. Originally used to braid lacing for the Samurais’ armor, today it is a popular jewelry making technique. The literal translation of Kumihimo means the "coming together (kumi) of threads (himo)". It’s fast, easy, and fun! Our Beginner's class shows you how to make the basic round Kumihimo braid.  Level: Beginner – No previous braiding or jewelry making experience required. Technique Learned: Basic 8-Strand Round Braid using a foam Kumihimo disk Length of Class: 2 Hours Cost: $45, includes all materials, including Beginner's kit.
